Spotlight: Conversation with Bhargav on his 8th year with NeuronicWorks
The strongest associations are built on trust over time. Bhargav (aka B2) is one of our longest tenured employees. He has been with us since 2013. The relationship we have built, nurtured, and strengthened together over the years has grown strong. Bhargav is a valuable part of the NeuronicWorks family.
What does your job entail?
As a project manager, my work involves communicating and coordinating with both the design and engineering team and the clients. I have to ensure that we are on the right track to meet project deadlines and will have to constantly communicate with the customer and inform them about what is happening every week. There is a lot of coordination, communication, and teamwork involved.
What originally attracted you to NeuronicWorks?
The determination and passion of the team to grow and succeed was the first vibe I got from NeuronicWorks as an organization. The diverse projects, the challenges of the roles, and the flexibility to grow are key factors that keep me motivated.
Three words I would use to describe NeuronicWorks is ‘Growth’, ‘Infinite Possibilities’, and ‘Great Learning Curve’.
What do you think is the most essential skill required to succeed as a project manager?
I believe there are multiple skills required to succeed as a project manager. Some of the key skills needed are communication, time management, negotiation, and leadership. Just having a few and not having all these skills could also prove ineffective. For example, if a person is good with negotiation, but is not good at motivating the team, that would be a problem. Or if the person can motivate the team, but is not realistic with timelines, that will be an issue too.
How has your professional development progressed since joining NeuronicWorks?
It has been a great journey. I joined NeuronicWorks as a junior developer, then proceeded to become a hardware designer, next, a PCB designer and then I took on the challenge to manage projects.
What are 3 words you would use to describe NeuronicWorks?
Three words I would use to describe NeuronicWorks is ‘Growth’, ‘Infinite Possibilities’, and ‘Great Learning Curve’.
Fun Facts about yourself
A fun fact I can think about is that I love cooking. Though I do not take it up daily, some days I treat my family to an elaborate meal. I find cooking therapeutic and enjoy the process. I also love traveling and more recently, enjoy going on long drives with the family.
Guilty Pleasure
I love food. I like experimenting with different cuisines and trying out innovative dishes. I especially have a penchant for spicy food, but then that is obvious. I have so far tried Mexican, Japanese, Chinese, Italian, Romanian, Iranian, and Mediterranean cuisines and, I am always on the lookout for new restaurants.
Funniest Experience Working at NeuronicWorks
A couple of years back, we were working on a project that involved deflating and inflating a 6 ft tractor tire inside our office. Every time the tire would deflate, it would make a big bang noise like a vehicle backfiring. Once while trying to measure some readings, we tried to deflate the tire, but it wasn’t responding. I went closer to the tire to inspect why and right then it deflated with a big bang right in my face. Surprised at the sudden noise blast, I was rolling on the floor and laughing.
What has been your proudest moment at the company?
My proudest memory is when I made my first PCB Design in-house in 2013. I had no formal training or background in PCB designing, but I spent 6 months learning the software and learning how to design. It was a simple testing board and there were many mistakes, but it was a proud moment.
What is your favorite part about working at NeuronicWorks?
My favorite part is that I get to be a part of the entire project process – From planning to designing, to assembly and manufacturing and I also get to be a part of the decision-making process. Also, the flexibility and independence the organization offers have allowed me to learn, explore and progress in my career.
